Dog Training Santa Rosa –
Using the AKC standard for obedience, our primary education level curriculum focuses on basic training commands, manners, and crate training if needed. Each dog is an individual and has specific needs so training is customized to your dog… it’s a holistic approach to dog training. Upon graduation your dog’s behavior repertoire will include:
Yes/No
- Sit-Stay
- Down-Stay
- Heel
- Come/Recall
- Training with distractions
- Beginning off-leash work
Training Options for Obedience/Manners :
Option 1: K9 Boarding School
We do the training! dogs stay on-site M-F (going home for weekends) for 3 weeks plus 3 weeks of private lessons.
Option 2: 3×3 Program – Learn with your dog!
A package of 9 private/semi-private training lessons customized to your dog’s needs. 3 lessons per week for 3 weeks in a row it’s a fast-paced fun way to quickly get desired results.
Option 3: 3×4 Program
For puppies under 6 months with short attention spans…shorter training sessions. 3x week for 4 weeks = 12 sessions. Can be combined with a daycare plan for socializing.
Jump Start
Boarding School by the day or night to problem-solve specific behaviors and get prepared for the 3×3 Program
Custom
Infinite custom combination of options 1-3! Dogs with anxiety/fear or leash reactivity likely need this option. We design a plan that we think will best suit your dog and you. Then we make adjustments, as needed, during the training program for your dog’s success.
Intermediate Obedience
Invitation only for graduates of the boarding school or 3×3 programs, Tues & Thurs.
Group Training Walks
1hr walks 2x per month on Saturday at different Sonoma Co locations to get real-world practice with instruction. Invitation only, free
